When tragedy
plagued Benin the oracles advised the King that human
being must be sacrificed to appease the gods. Emotan offered
to be killed and peace returned. Emotans message to the
binis is to pay homage to her graveyard whenever there
is any burial ceremony (original in Nigerian museum material
fiberglass) |
